GitHub Enhances Pull Request ’Files Changed’ Page in Public Preview

GitHub has rolled out significant upgrades to its 'Files Changed' page, now in public preview, aiming to streamline pull request reviews for developers. The enhancements focus on performance and usability, with improvements to commenting functionality and page responsiveness.

The updated interface supports comments on binary, deleted, and renamed files while maintaining legacy features. Performance metrics like Interaction to Next Paint (INP) show marked gains in rendering efficiency and interaction speed.

User-reported issues have been addressed, including diff hunk expansion for special characters, corrected content display for large pull requests, and responsive design fixes. Notable UI refinements include a resized 'Resolve comment' button and improved processing indicators.
